Weddings

Congratulations on Your Engagement!

By requesting a wedding service to be held at our church, you express your mutual belief that marriage is a holy relationship for life, and that a wedding ceremony is an act of worship between one man and one woman.

The wedding ceremony not only recognizes the love and commitment of two people, but is based on the fact that we gather to worship, to praise and thank God for these gifts, which we commit to use in accordance with God’s will in the bonds of marriage.
We are looking forward to helping you to prepare for your wedding day and your new life together. We want your wedding to be lovely and meaningful. Accordingly, our guidelines have been established to help assure the beauty, dignity and reverence of the ceremony. It is your responsibility as the bride and groom together with your families and loved ones to understand our guidelines. We hope that this information will help get you started with the planning process.

Baptisms

Hear the words of the Lord Jesus Christ: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

The Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament that unites us with Jesus Christ and makes us members of God’s family, the Church. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, baptism initiates us into the Church, bestows the promise of God’s grace upon us, assures us that God forgives our sins and calls us to a life of Christian service and fulfillment.

Here at FPC Moorestown we welcome our members of any age to be baptized.

Our Pastor will meet with you at home or in the office. Your request for baptism must be approved by a worship team, pastor and the clerk of session.

According to the Book of Order for the PCUSA, for an infant to be baptized in a particular church at least one of the parents must be a member of that congregation.

If you are not a member and would like to become a member of this church family or learn more about adult baptism, please contact Jan Martin, 856.235.1688 x133

Yes, Jesus Loves Me

A tradition of our church; our newly baptized children are greeted by the congregation with smiles, love and a song – Yes, Jesus Loves Me.

Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
