Guest Preacher, Rev. Dr. J. Thomas Kort

After 42 years in ministry as a senior pastor, Dr. Kort retired in 2015 – for two weeks – before accepting the invitation of his alma mater Princeton Seminary to the position of Associate Vice President for Advancement, where he engages with alums and congregations.

A gifted pastor, Rev. Dr. Kort served congregations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina, and most recently served for 27 years as Pastor of the Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. Tom is a gifted pastor, preacher, and teacher, and a passionate cheerleader for the transformative impact a vital congregation can have on the lives that it touches, and on the world far beyond its doors.

A Pittsburgh native who “loves all things Pittsburgh,” Dr. Kort has been married for 52 years to wife Corrine, and together they have two adult children and three grandchildren.
In an abundance of caution and to practice social distancing due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, on March 15, 2020 we began to hold one service at 9:30 am and a Thursday evening service.  The worship services were broadcast online only.
