A Thank You!
From Jen Allen, Laurie LaMonica and Kristen Perkowski, Festival Co-Chairs
The 67th annual Strawberry Festival was an abundance of blessings yet again! The Lord was hard at work throughout the process of organizing and hosting this event. He provided us with perfect weather. He provided a wonderful variety of cakes. He provided volunteers. He even provided extra helpers when we had last minute cancellations! He does amazing things when we put our faith in Him. While it’s a running joke that “it runs itself,” it is amazing to see how the Strawberry Festival all comes together.
We love that we can continue this event as a free will offering, and our members and visitors were generous in their giving. We estimate 2,000 attendees graced our grounds.
We are thankful for an unsolicited donation again this year from Lewis Funeral Home for $300, and donations of iced tea from
Chick Fil-A in Mount Laurel.
We included the Visa Gift Card giveaway again this year to help bring in donations to refill the Blessing Box and Grace Boutique, two of our local benevolence initiatives. Please consider supporting these two ministries with donations throughout the year as there are many in need in our community! Thank you to everyone who visited the Missions Food Tent, with all proceeds going towards our Youth Mission trip to the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia in July.
We thank our MANY volunteers who are the backbone of our Strawberry Festival. Whether you donated cakes, washed or hulled berries, served cakes, scooped berries, grilled food or washed dishes, we thank you!
We especially love to see new faces volunteering! Special thanks to our property team who work so hard leading up to and during the event to set everything up, keep things clean and break it back down.
We are especially grateful for Cheryl Gaskill, who has been instrumental in ordering supplies for the Strawberry Festival as a volunteer in the office, going above and beyond to look for cost effective ways to obtain what is needed. This was our (new-“ish”) Director of Outreach, Mark Budka’s, first Strawberry Festival and he jumped right in to make sure the Mission Food tent was fully stocked and running smoothly. It was great to see our new Director of Music, Spencer Domer, interact with so many that night to encourage people to join our choirs and highlight some of his upcoming plans for next season!
The goal of the Strawberry Festival always has been and will continue to be community outreach to bring people together and show them the love of God through our congregants at FPC Moorestown. Please help us continue to Grow the Kingdom and plan to volunteer by marking the date of the 2027 Strawberry Festival on your calendar now!
A few more things to know!
- Strawberry Festival T-shirts will again be available. Be sure and purchase yours. Proceeds support our general operating fund for year-round programming.

- If available, whole cakes and containers of strawberries will be sold at the end of the evening.
- Tours will be available for the Mustard Seed Cooperative Garden too! Come see this ministry that raises produce to give to our local food pantries
- If you won’t be here for the festival, but would like to make a donation to ensure the night is successful, please contact Norman Vandergrift in the church office or you may use Venmo, or our online Giving option.
