Maundy Thursday

April 6, 2023

From the Table to the Cross: A Maundy Thursday service of drama and song based on Wangerin’s Living the Passion By Roger E. Van Harn and Walter Wangerin.

Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. On this day, Christians remember the Last Supper and how Jesus washed the Disciples’ feet. During the meal Jesus took bread and wine and shared them with his disciples.

A Service of Remembrance, Prayer and Resurrection – September 11, 2021

On Saturday September 11, we gathered at the cross in the First Presbyterian Church cemetery for a service of remembrance, prayer and resurrection as we commemorated the 20th anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack in world history. This was a solemn time for reflection, prayer, scripture reading, and song as we remembered the 2,977 lives tragically taken from this world and the 20-year war that ensued.

For those who were unable to attend, this prayer guide provided prayers and scripture readings to coincide with the times the planes struck the World Trade Center towers, Pentagon, and field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

On Consecration Sunday 2020

We were all together at home for ONE 9:30 am live stream service on Sunday, October 18th, where we welcomed our engaging speaker Dr. Shane Berg from Princeton Theological Seminary. During worship, members completed their 2021 Estimate of Giving. It some ways, things looked different this year and, in some ways, they looked just the same!

Drive-Up Dedication Parade
AND HOW NEAT — we had over 50 cars drive to church after worship to dedicate their pledges in PERSON at our contact-free Drive-Up Dedication Parade. Members dedicated their gifts safely from their car and received wrapped chocolate chip cookies as a thank you! (COVID-style through the window of course).
