Deacons

The Book of Order calls ordained deacons to a ministry of “compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress” (G-2.0201). FPC Moorestown currently has 23 deacons (1 seat to be filled).

Serve With the Deacons

“Help each other in troubles and problems. This is the kind of law Christ asks us to obey.” Galatians 6:2

The FPC Moorestown Meal Train is a Deacons’ project responsible for developing a list of congregational volunteers to bring meals to individuals or families dealing with short-term illness or in need of care. If you would be willing to be such a volunteer visit our Meal Train sign up page. There is always someone who would be grateful for your support and prayers AND a soul warming meal!
